I’ve been meaning to draw this for a while… This is a pretty accurate depiction of what I see when I look at a candle without my contacts/glasses. I’m not really sure if that’s normal or bad or what, but light has pretty much always looked like this to me. And it’s always the same pattern, those same spikes in those same places and kinda looks like a chrysanthemum in the middle.
Anyway. That’s what I see. I hope there are other people who see it like that too.

For me—and my eyes are worse—it’s less spikey and more chrysanthemumy, but yes, that’s pretty close to what I see too.
