Last week I started working at Infusion Development in [just barely] SoHo. They do a lot of really cool stuff with super cutting-edge technology and everyone there is brilliant and I love it. My official title is Design Intern but so far I’ve been kind of doing odd jobs around the office. Right now I’m working on some design comps for an iPad app.
I’m living a block southeast of Prospect Park in a neighborhood primarily inhabited by caribbean families. It’s nice, but loud… but at least when they honk, they all join in and honk in a funky rhythm. No, really, they do. It’s awesome. I’m living with 4 other people in a two-story brownstone, but it’s only a sublet and I have to find a new place by mid-August.
This is probably totally inappropriate for tumblr but I don't have your email and it's too early in the morning to call you and too long of a message to text you so...
I just watched a bunch of the videos on your vimeo account and it felt like I had just dusted off a loved childhood tape and popped it in. I cried a little. I laughed a lot. I knew you were special when I met you, which is why I was so comfortable offering you my keys and letting you stay at my place while I was gone this weekend, but your videos are a whole other wonderful surprise layer! I am really excited to have you in the same city so I can soak up some of those shiny rays.
I hope it’s okay that I answer this! I’m curious about which ones you watched; I marked a lot of them as contacts only recently but didn’t get around to the really old ones so ack. Either way, I’m glad you liked them. I made most of those videos at a point in my life where I needed to just make things and post them fearlessly even if they were shitty.
I’m sad we didn’t actually get to hang out tonight; you should join me for one of the many awesome things happening this weekend (free music fest on Coney Island? STOOPIN’?!). I haven’t met anyone quite like you in a long long time and it’s absolutely lovely, so yes the feeling is completely mutual. :]
And my e-mail (and the name I use for pretty much every other online thing I’m a part of): posalootly à gmail.
And, most importantly, it is never too early or too late to call me. Don’t even hesitate.
This is pretty odd. Especially since I have to click — er, touch an extra button for punctuation. Though I am probably doing this wrong. Oh wait i just figured it out maybe. I figured out you tap the spacebar twice to get a period. But I am a comma whore augh where my commas at?!
Sitting on the stoop in Bed-Stuy Always sayin hi when the brothas walk by Just proper etiquette Sitting on the top step With a bag of chips, sit back, relax, enjoy the bricks We got a neighborly philosophy I don’t mess with you, you don’t mess with me It is what it is, it ain’t all hard up in the hood Sittin on my front stoop and its all good
