YEP. This happened. Spent a good couple hours around a table of food with a bunch of good people, solving puzzles and riddles and boys. I hope to continue in this fashion this summer, so again I must ask if anyone knows anybody in NYC looking for a roommate, that they let me know.

“Good writing dies at the hands of search engine optimization.”
Chris Weingarten’s speech entitled Music is Math. Among other things, he talks (quite humorously) about how the internet’s obsession with F1RST has ruined critical music review and allowed the indie rock circle jerk to continue. I watched it twice, I will probably watch it more.

Dear New York friends, I am in the market for...
I’m thrilled to say that there is, unless something goes terribly wrong, a reason for me to be living and working in NYC for this summer (and beyond if I’m lucky). If you or someone you know is looking for a roommate, or maybe wants to join forces and find a place of our own, let’s do this. I am chill and pay rent on time and shower regularly and don’t mind living with boys...

This video (via) was a favorite among my group of friends back in high school. But I’ll come back to that.
On Sunday, Josh and I were wandering through Prospect Park on the way to the Brooklyn Lyceum when we came across about a dozen people playing four square. Sensing our interest, they asked us to join them, and we did! We played some hardcore but very sportsmanlike four square for about...

Kids Build Their Own Three-Story Playground →
Really interesting piece about how kids learn, test for safety, and are ultimately safer on this playground than on regular playgrounds due to perceived danger.
